GPC (Group Purchasing Committee)
Organization of purchasing at the KraussMaffei Group is by means of a cooperation and steering committee comprising the Purchasing Managers of the three brands and which has a bridging function between the decentralized purchasing departments.
- Joint planning and control of cross-departmental cost reduction projects, reporting
- Regular coordination of the general supplier and commodity group strategy
- Guaranteeing "one face to the supplier" in negotiations and contracts with jointly used suppliers (lead-buyer system)
- Sharing global sourcing know-how and coordinating activities
- Joint further development of processes and methods
- Discussions on current market developments
