University dual system

We offer various dual study models for school-leavers or young people who, having completed a training course, wish to qualify further. In this, we cooperate with colleges/universities in Rosenheim, Friedrichshafen and Ravensburg.

Combined course of study with double qualification

Within nine semesters to a Bachelor's degree

Do a practical apprenticeship in the company with Chamber of Industry and Commerce examination within nine semesters and, at the same time, obtain a Bachelor's degree at a college/university – this model is offered by the KraussMaffei Group at the Munich location in cooperation with Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences.

Targeted qualifications:

  • Training as an electronics technician for automation technology (m/f)
  • Bachelor of Engineering, Mechatronics

Procedure:

1st and 2nd semester: In-company training
3rd – 9th semester: Study at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences

  • Periods without lectures and semester vacations are used for in-company training throughout
  • Chamber of Industry and Commerce examination to qualify as an electronic technician for automation technology (m/f) in the 7th semester
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences in the 9th semester

Advantages:

  • Double qualification with comparatively brief training and study times
  • Practice-oriented application of contents of study

 You should fulfill the following conditions:

  • German Abitur (high school diploma) or equivalent college/university entrance qualification
  • Willingness to learn and high-performer
  • Able to cope with stress (double the load due to double qualification and shorter vacations)
  • Clear objectives
  • Meet German Numerus Clausus (N.C.) requirements, if applicable
  • Interest in networking scientific work and in-company practical experience

Courses with practical component

Within the framework of our dual study program, we offer, in cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg State Cooperative University (DHBW) and Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences (HD), various study models with a greater practical component.

  1. Targeted qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (DHBW) or Bachelor of Science in five specializations at the Vocational Academies of Friedrichshafen and Ravensburg
    • Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical Engineering – Automation
    • Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering - Production
    • Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering - Construction
    • Bachelor of Science Informatics
    • Bachelor of Science, Business Informatics


  2. Targeted qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (HD) in two specializations at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences
    • Bachelor of Engineering, Mechatronics
    • Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering - Plastics Technology

Duration:

Regular period of study is approx. 7 semesters, depending on specialization

Procedure:

  • Start: The training starts each year in September
  • Continuous study at the college/university with Bachelor degree
  • Practical semesters and periods without lectures will be used for working in the respective department at the KraussMaffei Group

Advantages:

  • Practice-oriented application of contents of study already during the college/university training
  • Gaining of a college/university degree and verifiable vocational experience in the selected specialist field in a relatively short period
  • Greater share of practical experience during study compared with other courses of study

  • A letter telling us clearly and concisely what training course you're applying for and an alternative if you'd consider one
  • Resumé
  • You're two most recent academic reports or your school-leaving certificate.

Application

  • We'll write to confirm that we've received your application.
  • Your prospective supervisor will study your application, especially your school achievements.
  • Within a few days, we'll either invite you to come for an interview or send you a rejection letter, if we don't have a place for you.
  • If the result of the interview is positive and we offer you a place, you'll need a doctor's certificate of fitness.
  • If all hurdles are cleared nothing no longer stands in your way of a career at KraussMaffei in the dual-study program.
